A CANDLE LIGHT VIGIL IS SCHEDULED TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 28TH (A WEEK FROM THIS SUNDAY) FOR 70 YEAR-OLD SOQUEL BUSINESSMAN ADOLF GALVAN, WHO SUFFERED FATAL INJURIES IN A HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT IN DOWNTOWN SANTA CRUZ LAST MONTH. FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO GATHER AT 6:30 P-M ON PACIFIC AVENUE BETWEEN LAUREL AND SPRUCE STREETS (THE SITE OF THE AUGUST 24TH ACCIDENT). GALVAN, WHO LIVED IN LAS LOMAS (AND OWNED AND OPERATED FARGOE GLASS IN SOQUEL), IS SURVIVED BY HIS 3 DAUGHTERS AND 3 GRANDCHILDREN…..AS WELL AS MANY OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS.
GALVAN WAS HIT BY A PICK-UP TRUCK AS HE WALKED ACROSS PACIFIC AVENUE.
