With a unanimous vote, the Monterey County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to reduce bed capacity at the new Juvenile Hall from 120 beds down to 80 beds.
The vote changed the scope of the incomplete project, due to be finished in mid-2021. The revised project has also been submitted for state approval.
The Juvenile Hall is behind schedule and prior to the vote was over budget, now set at more than $60 million.
