(19:55) SALINAS- Salinas Councilman Jose Castaneda has been released from jail. Castaneda was arrested after he allegedly forced an ex-girlfriend into a van outside her home. He then held her against her will for several hours before releasing her. The victim received several bruises during the ordeal. Castaneda has been charged with felony kidnapping, false imprisonment and domestic violence, and will be in court for a preliminary hearing later this week.
