A 59 year-old man has been arrested in connection with a homicide that took place on the 1700 block of Great Island Street in Salinas. Richard Ruiz is accused of killing his girlfriend. He was arrested after he led law enforcement officers on a high speed chase that ended this morning in the Soledad area.
