Yesterday afternoon’s fire, that led to mandatory evacuations in Prunedale, began as a controlled burn. Firefighters were able to keep it down to 2 acres, and no structures were damaged. Crews spent a couple hours mopping up the scene, and making sure there weren’t any hotspots before they let the evacuated people go home.
