People who witnessed, or who may have surveillance footage of, a fatal hit and run accident in Salinas Monday night, are encouraged to contact the Salinas Police Department. A 45 year-old woman suffered fatal injuries when she was hit by a car just before 9 p.m., at the intersection of Blanco Road and Riker Street in south Salinas. Although she was transported to an area hospital, the hit-and-run victim succumbed to her injuries.
