The incident occurred Sunday night when a man driving a Lincoln crashed into a Toyota minivan at the intersection of Madeira Avenue and Market Street. He then fled the scene on foot. The man’s passenger, 24-year-old Yesenia Romero died from injuries sustained in the crash. Police began seeking 21-year-old Anthony Bouchereau as a person of interest. Officers located Bouchereau at a truck stop Wednesday night. He was booked into Monterey County Jail for vehicular manslaughter and hit and run.
