The Ferguson Fire has burned more than 94,000 acres and is 43% contained. Firefighters are working to not only keep the fire out of Yosemite National Park, but to secure the communities of Foresta, and Yosemite West too. Portions of Yosemite National Park are still closed, including both the Mariposa and Merced Groves of Giant Sequoias. Several campgrounds are also still closed. As of 10 a-m this morning, Yosemite Valley has re-opened to ONLY residents and employees. More information can be found by going on-line to: nps.gov/yose, or by calling the National Park.
