The polls and voting centers will be open from now until 8 p.m. tonight. People who still need to turn in their ballots are encouraged to drop them in a valid ballot drop box, or walk the ballot into a polling place or vote center, or their local City Clerk’s Office or Election Department prior to 8 p.m. tonight. People who are not yet registered to vote can do so today, and then they can cast a provisional ballot.
Both Santa Cruz Metro, and Monterey-Salinas Transit, Districts are offering free fares today so that people can get out to vote without that extra fee holding them back.
