(UPDATE) August 25, 2015: Manhunt for Two Watsonville Shooting Suspects

(Updated at 11:57) – The FBI and Watsonville police are looking for two men suspected of double homicide. Marcos Daniel Robles and Brandon Andres Ruiz Martinez are wanted for their alleged involvement in a gang-related shooting that occurred in October 2014. A man and 4-year-old Jaelyn Zavala were killed in the incident. Both Robles and Martinez are Hispanic males in their twenties. Robles has the letter ‘C’ tattooed on both of his shins. Martinez has strawberry tattoos on his left hand and neck. Both men may have fled to Mexico. The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for each suspect. Anyone with information is to contact the FBI’s San Francisco Office or the Watsonville Police Department. (S.G.)

(Posted August 24 at 18:13) WATSONVILLE – The FBI has announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a shooting suspect. Marcos Daniel Robles is wanted for his alleged involvement in the 2014 shooting that killed a 4-year-old girl. Just before midnight on October 10, Robles allegedly shot and killed a rival gang member in a motel parking lot. Some of the rounds fired went into a nearby restaurant, where they struck and killed 4-year-old Jaelyn Zavala and wounded an innocent man. Robles has been charged with two counts of murder and a warrant has been issued for his arrest by Santa Cruz County Superior Court. A federal arrest warrant has also been issued after he was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Robles is a known Norteño gang member that may have fled to Mexico and he is considered armed and dangerous.
