The 23 year-old Oregon woman, who was found alive on a Big Sur beach after her Jeep went off Highway 1 a week before that, is recovering in a San Luis Obispo county hospital….(thanks to the couple who found her, and the rescuers who got her to the hospital. Angela Hernandez said she lost control of her Jeep, when she swerved to avoid hitting an animal on Highway 1 not far from Nacimiento-Ferguson Road. She suffered a variety of injuries in the crash, including a concussion, 4 broken ribs, 2 broken collarbones, and a collapsed lung….along with ruptured blood vessels in both eyes. Hernandez said she used a small hose from her car to drink fresh water that was seeping from the cliffs above.
