As of this afternoon (Saturday June 26th, 2021) the Willow Fire burning east of Big Sur….in the Las Padres National Forest….has burned 2,877 acres and is considered 56% contained. All road closures have been lifted, and all Evacuation Warnings have been lifted in Zones WF-2, WF-3b, and WF-4. The Evacuation Orders in Zones WF-1 and WF-3a have been downgraded to Evacuation Warnings, and Zone WF-6 (Marble Peak west to Zigzag Creek) still has an active Evacuation Order in place.
Reportedly 100 homes and 25 commercial structures are still threatened by the Willow Fire, that is believed to have broken out west of Arroyo Seco Campground the evening of June 17th.
