(21:11) Quincy/Redding/Salinas – The couple accused of killing 2 children, and torturing a 3rd, appeared in a Plumas County court room today. 39 year-old Tami Hunstman and 17 year-old Gonzalo Curiel have been accused of the torture, mayhem, and child abuse of a 9 year-old girl. That child is recovering in a Sacramento area hospital. Huntsman and Curiel are also suspects in the death of a 3 year-old girl and a 6 year-old boy, who’s bodies were found in Huntsman’s storage area in Redding. The dead children are believed to be 3 year-old Delylah Tara, and 6 year-old Shaun Tara. The 3 children lived with Huntsman and Curiel in an apartment on the 500 block of Fremont Street in Salinas. Supposed all 5 moved north around Thanksgiving. Investigators are going through the Salinas apartment.
Curiel is expected to be charged as an adult.
