A man in his 20’s died in a solo-vehicle accident this morning. The 4:30 a.m. crash took place off San Juan Grade Road near Hebert Road. 22 year-old Salinas resident Arturo Vega, Junior was headed northbound on San Juan Grade Road in heavy fog when his car hit the right rear corner of a pick-up truck, and spun onto the shoulder of the road. Vega, Junior, who was not wearing his seatbelt at the time, was declared dead at the scene. His 17 year-old passenger suffered minor lacerations to his face.
