The attorney of a former U.S.C.S. student is trying to get the charges against the student reduced. 19 year-old Lynnea Hernandez was the driver of a car-full of college students on their way to Big Sur for Easter Break last March, when she lost control of her car on highway 1. Her car crossed into a northbound car near Moss Landing, instantly killing the 24 year-old Prunedale man who was driving the other car; and fatally wounding one of Hernandez’ passengers. Hernandez and her attorney are scheduled to return to a Monterey county court room in April.
