Protestors basically shut down the UCSC campus yesterday in support of striking grad students.
Classes were canceled for the entire day while protestors blocked the entrances to the campus. Supporters called for the fired UCSC teaching assistants to be reinstated and to also get the raise they’ve been requesting.
According to social media there were also large demonstrations at UC Berkley and UCLA. It’s unclear weather or not the strikers will be out this morning blocking the entrance to UC santa cruz.
