UCSC Scientists Help Local Medical Docs 03-19-20 03:29 DC

KSBW Television reports that members of the University of California, Santa Cruz science community received an urgent call from a local hospital yesterday (Wed) morning.

Doctors at the Kaiser Permanente Watsonville Medical Offices had an urgent need for medical supplies, including eye protection to help protect health care workers from COVID-19

UCSC laboratories and campus environmental health and safety all chipped in to help, collecting 16,000 latex gloves and about 150 goggles and face shields.
