UC Santa Clara Police say no crime was committed in an incident where a rope was found hanging from a street sign
On July 2nd, police responded to a report of the rope on street signs at the main entrance of the university. It was not tied to the sign, but it had a loop at one end, so the circumstances around it were investigated as a possible bias-related incident.
The investigation has finished, and police found that no crime was committed.
Police referred the incident to the Dean of Students Conduct and Communication for review and possible administrative proceedings.
