U.C.- Santa Cruz will be getting a nearly $153,000 grant to analyze data acquired by Antartic marine creatures. Such data has already proved useful in helping to change how the seafloor is mapped….and it’s believed the further analyzation of the data could help oceanographers learn more about the ocean environment, and also how quickly glaciers are melting in the Antarctic. The funding is also expected to be used to help improve science curriculums in schools.
