Local history buffs have something to celebrate at the UCSC library. The university library published a rare collection of more than 10-thousand pictures documenting more than a century of Santa Cruz history.
The images date back to 1866 and most belong to local historian Preston Sawyer who was born in Santa Cruz in 1899. He died in 1968, that’s when the university acquired the collection.
