In state news… the uc-board of regents looks to improve graduation rates among african american, latino and low income students over the next decade.
Statistics show 68-percent of freshmen entering the u-c system graduate in four years. For black, low income and latino students however… that number decreases to 55-percent.
The goal is to raise that number to 76-percent by 20-30.
In the cal-state system… graduation levels are much lower. At c-s-u Los Angeles less than 10-percent of incoming freshmen graduated.
