25 year-old Trevor Irby, and his girlfriend of 5 years, were at the Gilroy Garlic Festival last Sunday when Irby was shot and killed. They had moved to Santa Cruz in January, with the plan to move back to New York in August. Irby had been working as a medical assistant in a nursing home….with hopes of going back to study to become a Physician’s Assistant. A GoFundMe account, to help raise money for Trevor Irby’s family’s expenses, has raised more than 19,500 dollars (of its 25,000 dollar goal) in 1 day.
