This week, Santa Cruz County residents can take advantage of a Christmas Tree recycling program. Just put your tree out with your trash and recycling on your normally scheduled pick-up day, and your tree will be taken. Trees should cut into sections no longer than 3-feet for residents in non-incorporated areas of Santa Cruz County. City residents may leave trees in 6-foot lengths. All trees must be bare. The pick-up program runs from today through Friday, however trees can also be dropped off in bins at local fire stations until January 16th.
