Santa cruz firefighters extinguished a tree fire tuesday afternoon, in lighthouse field. The fire was reported at 4 p.m., 30-feet-high, up an old cypress tree in the field off of west cliff drive. no injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation. The blaze is believed to have begun in a sitting area that was constructed by tree-climbers.
