A man was struck and killed by a train while he was walking on the tracks in Salinas on Tuesday.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred shortly after 2 pm on the tracks near Abbott Street and Harris Road.
CHP said the man was wearing headphones and had his back turned to the train when he was struck.
