A trial date was set yesterday for two Salinas men accused in the 2010 accidental death of a six year old boy. 21-year olds Edmundo Pulido and Bernardo Camacho are expected to appear before a jury trial on March 24, 2014. The trial date lands on the day after the 3-year anniversary of the March 23, 2010 shooting that felled Azahel Cruz in his East Laurel Drive kitchen. Prosecutors allege Azahel was killed by a stray bullet during a retaliatory gang shooting at a nearby park.
