The Santa Cruz office of education is partnering with the boardwalk to offer students a unique career training experience.
A new career and technical education program includes hospitality, tourism and recreation all taught at the beach boardwalk by renowned local chef Andrea Mollenaeur (mol-lin-hour) of “the food lounge” fame.
Students of the new tourism career course will also be paid to work one shift per month.
