Although several thousand acres of the park suffered damage during last summer’s River Fire, and it was expected to be closed for longer, Toro Park is now expected to re-open to the public next month. A specific date has not yet been set, however, a spokesperson for the Monterey County Resource Management Agency says they hope to have hundreds of burned trees removed; fencing, roads, and trails repaired….and the park open….by the end of April.
