The Veterans Transition Center in Marina, which wants to create a tiny home village, has put in a funding request for a Community Development Block Grant. V-T-C officials say if they get the $60,000 they’re asking for, they’ll be able to move forward with their plan. The area where they want to put the new tiny home community, that is designed to be transitional and permanent housing for veterans, is on lots near Hayes Circle in Marina.
