THREE WATSONVILLE MEN PLEADED NOT GUILTY YESTERDAY (WED) TO THE RECENT BEATING OF A MAN. OFFICIALS SAY THE INCIDENT OCCURRED AT 10 PM SUNDAY ON 34 MILES LANE. IVAN CALDERON, PATRICK LEE ISIDRO, AND MIGUEL OJEDA-VEGA JUNIOR WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR ALLEGEDLY HITTING THE VICTIM WITH A BAT AND PIPE, FRACTURING HIS SKULL. THE VICTIM HAS SINCE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL. THE THREE MEN ARE BEING HELD ON SUSPICION OF ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON AND PARTICIPATING IN A STREET GANG. A PRELIMINARY COURT HEARING HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 17H.
