ACCORDING TO AUTHORITIES, SPEED WAS A CONTRIBUTOR TO A THREE CAR ACCIDENT YESTERDAY MORNING (MON) AT 8 A-M ON HIGHWAY 1 AT MORRISSEY BOULEVARD. A 20-YEAR OLD SANTA CRUZ MAN LOST CONTROL OF HIS FORD RANGER AS HE ENTERED THE HIGHWAY AND COLLIDED WITH A TOYOTA 4-RUNNER AND A PONTIAC TORRENT. THE 4-RUNNER RAN INTO THE CONCRETE RETAINING WALL UNDER THE MORRISSEY BOULEVARD BRIDGE. ALL THREE DRIVERS HAD MINOR INJURIES.
