Scotts Valley police recently conducted a tobacco retailer sting. An underage decoy was sent to 11 businesses to attempt to buy tobacco products. Three of the businesses, including 76 Gas, Village Bottle Shop and Discount Smoke Shop, were cited for illegal sales to a minor. The clerks who refused to sell were given a congratulatory certificate.
