Three men from Salinas were arrested yesterday on gun, drug, and gang charges. Officers conducted a traffic stop at Los Coches Avenue and Klamath Drive shortly after 4 p.m. A loaded gun was seen in the car’s glove box, leading to the arrest of 18-year-old Carlos Velasquez and 18-year-old Diego Damien. Several hours later, officers served a search warrant on the 400 block of East Alvin Drive. Two additional firearms were found as well as a drug lab. The resident, 18-year-old Abraham Renteria, was apprehended. All three were booked into Monterey County Jail.
