Trying to get your kids to pay attention in class?
Officials with Everett Alvarez High School in Salinas has discovered that there is an app for that.
The mobile application is called Pocket Points, and keeps track of how long students phones are left locked and not used.
For every ten minutes a students phone is not in use, the student earns a point. Points are then exchanged for various prizes such as cell phone accessories, homework passes, and school supplies.
So far, teachers with Everett Alvarez High School have reported positive results in getting their students engaged in classwork.
