Monologue

Dr. Wallach discusses a couple of news stories. The first concerns an article on arthritis that outlines the growing numbers of Americans who are diagnosed anually. Suggesting patients do low impact exercise and take drugs for the pain. The next story concerns a patient who was given tainted cartilage and later died from the infected tissue. Doc asserts that neither story was necessary because with the right raw materials the body can rebuild those joints. Without using drugs or having surgeries the body can rebuild by using the "Pig Pack Plus".

Pearls of Wisdom

Dr. Wallach and Doug discuss a news story concerning recent research on vegatables. The study done at Wake Forest University's School of Medicine found that mice given a diet of vegatables that constituted 30% of their caloric intake had a reduced risk of atherosclerosis. In fact those on the veggie diet had 38% less vascular blockage than mice fed a vegatable free diet.

Callers

Kay is trying to get off of hormone replacement therapy. Lydia has questions concerning prevention of kidney stones and an update on her dog. Marge has been diagnosed with tendonitis and doesn't want to go on steroids or have surgery.
