A Texas man who apparently left his wallet and an identification card near the body of a murdered Santa Cruz woman has been sentenced to 15-years-to-life in prison.
Monterey County prosecutors said 43-year-old dale dean pierce confessed to the 2105 murder of Remi Casillas, whose body – along with the id card – was discovered more than a year later in Carmel.
