As testing sites in the Tri-county area have increased their capacity to test, the processing of those samples has not kept up. Unfortunately, health department officials say that the 7-10 day waiting period makes it nearly impossible to track active cases of Covid-19 in the community….and that means that Tracers cannot effectively prevent further spread of the virus.
In addition to the delay, some people have been told (a week or more after getting tested) that they need to be re-tested.
