A 14-year-old girl was shot and killed in Morgan Hill on Friday night, and 3 other teens were wounded. The drive by shooting occurred at the corner of Cosmo and Del Monte Avenues, at about 9:30 p.m. Morgan Hill resident Tara Romero was pronounced dead at the scene. 2 other victims were hospitalized with gunshot wounds to their legs, while another teen was shot in the stomach, and also hospitalized. A nearby patrol officer responded, and was able to locate the fleeing vehicle. After a pursuit involving other officers, 4-adults and 1-juvenile were taken into custody. The adults were booked into Monterey county jail; the juvenile suspect was booked into Monterey county juvenile hall.
