a contra costa county teen is still in critical condition after a sand tunnel he had been digging collapsed on him. the 17-year-old was visiting sunset state beach with a group from a church in alamo for the day. he was digging a 6-foot deep tunnel with another teen when the tunnel collapsed, leaving him underground for several minutes. he was transported to an out of county medical center where he remains in critical care.
