Teen escapes, gets re-arrested 09/13/11 6:45p.m. TDH

A 17-year-old boy escaped custody in salinas Tuesday morning, before being re-arrested.   The teen was being transported to Monterey county juvenile hall from marina, when he kicked out the windows of the officer’s cruiser.   The probation officer waited for salinas police officers to respond, before a search-perimeter was established.   The suspect was located about a half-hour later, in the backyard of a house on the 11-hundred block of Loyola drive.  he was treated at a local hospital, before being booked into juvenile hall.
