A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of shooting and wounding a woman during a traffic argument in Santa Cruz on Wednesday afternoon. A Toyota and another vehicle were at the intersection of River and Fern streets when the argument began. The teen allegedly fired one shot out of the car he was in that struck and pierced the passenger side door of another vehicle, hitting a woman in the leg. The first vehicle fled but authorities pulled the vehicle over hours later and arrested the teen on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm at a moving vehicle and being a minor in possession of a gun. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Juvenile Hall.
