A teen was arrested in Santa Cruz on several gun charges while under the influence.
On Thursday, Santa Cruz Police officers were alerted to a teen who had a gun sticking out of his waistband near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Laurel Street.
Prior to the teen’s arrest, Officers state the teen fired a shot inside an apartment at the floor.
After the teen was medically evaluated, he was taken to Juvenile Hall.
Charges levied against the teen include possession of a gun while under the influence, minor in possession of ammo, possession of a high capacity magazine, having a gun without a serial number, child endangerment, and minor in possession of a concealable gun.
