Crews are investigating a “vehicle over the side” of Highway 1 in northern San Luis Obispo County. The tan car, which was spotted late this afternoon, is about 325 feet down from the highway, south of Ragged Point. The bodies of a person and a dog were found about 15 feet from the vehicle.
Although the car is “unrecognizable” except for its color, it is thought to possibly be that of the missing Southern California couple (and their 2 dogs) who were headed to Big Sur December 23rd.
The scene of the crash is in a tidal zone.
