One person was killed and another seriously injured in an avalanche at a Tahoe ski resort, Friday morning. The avalanche took place at Alpine Meadows ski resort. Placer County Sheriff’s search and rescue crews responded. The avalanche was caused by a storm that dumped several inches of snow in the area Thursday. Several ski resorts are temporarily closed for avalanche control.
