Officials with salinas valley memorial hospital have extended a deadline for potential-merger-partners to submit proposals. The deadline was this Friday, however now respective officials with the hospital corporation of America and natividad medical center have until july 2nd to submit more advanced proposals. The 2 healthcare providers were chosen for a list of 7 providers hoping to merge with, or acquire, salinas valley memorial hospital. If board members decide to go ahead with a merger or sale, the matter would be put to a public vote.
