According to the State Board of Equalization, the sales tax rate in the City of Scotts Valley will drop by April 1st. The current rate of 9.25% will decrease to 9% after a temporary tax enacted by the city will end. Scotts Valley is said to be the only jurisdiction in the state where the sales tax will decline.
