the scotts valley city council has unanimously approved plans for a community theater. at wednesday’s meeting council members decided to move ahead with an agreement between the city and the scotts valley theater guild. the city is to lease the guild the 9-thousand square foot PROPERTY next to the library for 1 dollar a year. in turn the group will raise the funds and build the community theater. requests to book the facility have already started, with an opening date sometime next spring.
