(12:30) Soledad – A man was arrested this morning for stealing a pit bull from Soledad and then torturing it. The dog, Kato, was found on Tuesday on Metz Road severely burned and had to be euthanized as a result. Suspect, Devonte Sirwet-Perea, was located this morning in the Walmart parking lot, in Salinas. He was booked into Monterey County Jail for animal theft, animal cruelty, arson, and possession of controlled substances.
