The 45th annual Santa Cruz Pride Parade and Festival take place this Sunday.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. Sunday in downtown Santa Cruz on Pacific Avenue. The Pride Festival will again be at the Pride Festival grounds between Cathcart, Cedar, and Lincoln streets.
The 2019 grand marshals include activist, musician, founder of Queer Cruz and SC Diversity Center Trailblazer Award winner Vynes Dowling and Adam Spickler. In 2018, Spickler became the first openly transgender man to hold elected office in California.
Watch for heavy traffic during the parade and near the festival grounds all day this Sunday.
