FIRE CREWS IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY RESPONDED TO A GRASS FIRE YESTERDAY AT THE SUMMIT. AUTHORITIES SAY THE FIRE BROKE OUT ON THE 17,000 BLOCK OF LAUREL ROAD AROUND 5:30 P.M., AFTER A CAR WAS ON FIRE. OFFICIALS SAY FIREFIGHTERS WERE ABLE TO PREVENT THE BLAZE FROM SPREADING. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
